Course outline AND PURPOSE:

This two day course will give participants a better understanding of autism and why children with autism behave in certain ways. It will also give participants a range of practical ideas to use on a daily basis with the children they support.

Please note: this course replaces the two-day reception autism course with Helen Cooke (nee Blatchford). Anyone who has attended the two day course should not attend this replacement course.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

New to year 6 teachers, Year 6 teachers, KS2 leader/SLT


COURSE OUTLINE AND PURPOSE:

This is a 1 day MATHS course.

This course incorporates :

 We will look at the statutory requirements of the curriculum and consider working at greater depth. This will include a gap analysis of the 2019 Maths paper and exploration of strategies to support development of key mathematical skills. We will develop ways of accelerating progress for all pupils, with a focus on assessment and data analysis.

We will look at working towards the KS2 Maths SATs. We will explore relevant supportive material and consider how to plan from test analysis. Teachers will need to bring current assessment data for maths as well as KS1 data.
