To begin to identify and address key areas of Headteacher development and signpost to further development opportunities. Sessions will be an interactive workshop format with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and participate in professional learning dialogues. New and Acting Headteachers will be allocated a mentor from amongst Enfield’s experienced Headteacher network.

The sessions will also enable the networking of colleagues new to Enfield and/or Headship/Deputy Headship as well as introduce them to key Enfield colleagues who can provide guidance and support across various fields. There are no charges associated with attending these sessions unless * denotes otherwise

Course Outline and Purpose:

A whole class programme to develop inference skills for children from KS2 to KS3 who have age appropriate decoding skills but who are experiencing difficulties acquiring full meaning and enjoyment from their reading. This 3 half -day training programme will give you all the skills you need to deliver Inference Training in the classroom.

Code: ENF/20/16 Practical advice for supporting children with autism in mainstream: two day course for LSAs and TAs


Course outline AND PURPOSE:

This two day course will give participants a better understanding of autism and why children with autism behave in certain ways. It will also give participants a range of practical ideas to use on a daily basis with the children they support.

Please note: this course replaces the two-day reception autism course with Helen Cooke (nee Blatchford). Anyone who has attended the two day course should not attend this replacement course.
