COURSE OUTLINE AND PURPOSE:
To assist staff through the EHCP MAM process and EHCP Annual Review process. This course will take you through the process from MAM to Annual Review and will clarify roles and responsibilities of participants. Staff attending will have access to the latest paperwork and participate in a mini MAM case study.
The sessions will include training on gathering evidence for the EYFSP across all 17 Early Learning Goals and the opportunity for teachers to engage in agreement trialling (a requirement of the STA).
Course outline AND PURPOSE:
This two day course will give participants a better understanding of autism and why children with autism behave in certain ways. It will also give participants a range of practical ideas to use on a daily basis with the children they support.
Please note: this course replaces the two-day reception autism course with Helen Cooke (nee Blatchford). Anyone who has attended the two day course should not attend this replacement course.Essential Information

Over this 4 day maths course we will focus on place value, multiplication, division, geometry, measure, statistics, fractions, decimals and percentages. We will consider the pedagogy required to support mastery in maths and explore how to effectively use manipulatives and images to support teaching. Teachers do not need to attend all 4 sessions, however it is of benefit to do so.
This course will:
· Improve teachers’ subject knowledge
· Address common misconceptions in mathematics
· Develop the language/strategies and practical skills needed to support the teaching of the key areas of mathematics
· Investigate manipulatives and images and vocabulary to aid conceptual understanding
· Explore the use of questioning to elicit a wider range of responses
· Develop a deeper understanding of mastery
