Course outline and purpose:
This is a four half day course designed to train staff working with learners with communication difficulties to use visual images in a structured and meaningful way to aid communication. It leads many children into independent communication with adults and peers and has also had an impact on changing behaviour for the better.
The online course prepares TAs for the half-day school-based assessment visit or telephone interview, leading to the award of HLTA status. Selection for HLTA is based on the completion of the HLTA application form and fulfilling the entry requirements. The HLTA Programme will run each term.
You must complete an application form and submit copies of your GCSE English and maths certificates before you are offered a place on this programme. Contact email@example.com for more information.
