Strengthening middle leadership is a priority for many Enfield Schools. This programme is designed in response to requests from senior leaders for a lighter touch to developing middle leaders than undertaking the full NPQML. Each session is built around an identified theme which will enable participants to develop knowledge, confidence and skills to be more effective in their middle leadership role.

MPTA training for TAs: Improving pupil independence.
Research indicates that quality feedback on learning and the development of metacognition skills can boost pupil attainment. Our Improving pupil independence course provides TAs with the skills to scaffold learning and help pupils become confident, independent learners.
MPTA Training for teachers: What teachers need to know
Our additional coverage for teachers draws on our CPD for TAs, providing teachers with essential information on how to plan for and deploy TAs in the classroom. What teachers need to know releases the full power of the MPTA training for TAs, and is suitable for teachers in all settings and at all stages.Essential Information
Target Audience: Literacy Subject Leaders and Literacy Consultant Leading Teachers
Participants will be expected to attend all 3 days. These termly training days are aimed at supporting Literacy Subjects Leaders in managing the teaching and learning of Literacy in their schools.
These meetings provide updates and CPD for science across KS3 or KS4 to support post holders. They also offer colleagues the opportunity to engage in professional dialogue and share good practice around meeting common challenges.
